MISSION 193 speaks of a vision imparted by God to His people to visit all 193 countries in the world (recognised by the United Nations) over two years. The mission was completed in October 2008.

This adventure was in accordance with a biblical instruction, ”to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations”, and that God will “give you every where you place your foot”. We believe this mandate from the bible will be fulfilled. Scriptures from the bible are vibrant words of action, not merely something of the past. This is God’s Word to us today.

Wonderful stories have been reported, as well as comments such as;

“we had an incredible time.”

“it’s amazing to take part in something that really is simple to do”

“as the scriptures tell us …. the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea … we proclaimed it to the nation we visited and God’s word shall not return to Him void!”

Our objective was for Christians to travel in twos or more to a country they know God would have them go to. This way, bibles will be delivered to every country listed, and all 193 countries will be prayed over and claimed for Jesus. Visit the official website by clicking here

For over twenty years The King’s Church Wakefield has been fund-raising for many overseas charities. At present we are  supporting Rainbow Africa (Charity No 1057862). Rainbow Africa was established in 1996, its primary aim is to bring help, care, education and development to people in the impoverished areas of Africa.  The centre is based in Livingstone, Zambia close to the beautiful Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River.   Ewart Crowther – Director – and a staff of over seventy cater for upwards of 300 meals a day, education for 460 children and Health care from the Mwenda Medical Centre.  Also thirteen grannies and their orphaned grandchildren are provided with food, health care, education support and in several cases housing.   Regular visits are made to Maramba Old Peoples Home to provide food support to about forty destitute old people and improve the environment through building maintenance and painting.   Regular assistance has also been made to over 2000 villages also supplying seed and fertilizer during years of famine.

Our donation is only a drop in the ocean but we know our regular monthly giving, the sale of Sunday morning refreshments and the raising of funds by various activities means so much to the people at Rainbow Africa.

The work of Rainbow Africa is in partnership with local churches and community groups to present a practical demonstration of the Gospel in action within the locality.
